Recently I went to the track for a run. Something I’m not consistent with but I’m working at it. Three months ago I watched as an obsess African-American man probably in his late 30’s or early 40’s huffed and puffed walking around one lap which he had to take breaks to complete. The other day I was him since that first sighting. HE HAS LOST 40 LBS AND IS RUNNING 3 miles! I stopped him and we spoke. I told him I remembered him and how great he looked and acknowledged his hard work which consists of going to the track almost everyday. At the beginning of his journey his knees were in constant pains as well as his over-all physique and self-esteem. The grin on his face when I said great job, you inspire me was priceless. Then, he hit on me. HA! Good for him, fitness gives you your swagger back too. He’s changing his life using his backbone not wishbone. Way to go Jared!
